- Fits a filter intake tube between 0.4 and 1.0 inch across in a tank with shrimp or fry.
Slide one of these over a filter intake and shrimp, fry and loose plant bits stay in the tank instead of the filter. Each sleeve is a single-hole foam roll, sold six to a pack, with a soft, springy body that does not choke the flow. The 0.8 inch bore is 2 inches across the outside and 3.4 inches long.
Measure your intake tube before you order. Bores run 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 inch, with outer sizes from 1.4 by 2.4 inches up to 2.2 by 4 inches, and a snug fit matters more than a big sponge. Rinse the sleeve when flow drops, and swap in a fresh one from the pack when the foam tears.
