Sized for a 1 to 3 gallon shrimp or fry tank on a nano air pump.

At 1.5 inches across and 3 inches tall, this sponge fits a 1 to 3 gallon tank where a regular sponge filter would take over the floor. Air from your pump lifts water through the foam, which traps debris and holds bacteria once the tank has cycled. Shrimp and fry cannot get pulled inside, since the only intake is the foam surface.

The 3 gallon option is a 3 pack sold with 3 feet of tubing and a valve. Larger options run up to 60 gallons, and a 5 to 10 gallon replacement sponge sells on its own. No pump is in the pack. Press the sponge under water until it soaks through and sinks, then rinse it every 2 to 4 weeks in water taken from the tank.
