- packs of 1, 2
- For a planted tank where you add CO2, starting with 20 drops of reagent per fill.
Twenty drops of reagent go into the curved glass tube, and the tube hangs upside down on the tank wall on a suction cup. After about two hours the liquid shows a color: green or light green for balanced CO2, yellow for too much, blue for too little. One kit holds the glass checker, a bottle of reagent and 2 suction cups, and a 2-pack is offered as well.
Keep the opening facing down, as the instructions require. A drop checker shows where CO2 has settled over a couple of hours, not an instant number, so adjust your CO2 system and wait for the next color. Thick glass makes the reading easy to see. It measures CO2 alone, so pH, ammonia and nitrate need a separate test kit.
