- packs of 6, 10
- Put one on each 3/16-inch air line where the pump sits below the water line.
A power cut lets water siphon down the airline toward the pump. One of these, cut into the line, lets air out and stops water coming back. Each valve is 2.1 inches long and 0.55 inch wide, with 0.12 inch air holes and a weight of 0.1 ounce, so it hangs on standard 3/16-inch tubing without dragging it down.
Black, clear and red come in 6 packs, and clear and red also in 10 packs, which helps you tell lines apart at a glance. These are for air pumps only, since CO2 and other high-pressure systems can crack them. If one clogs and restricts air, push it open with a thin stick from the inlet side.
