Shaped like a loaf with a flat base, the 6 inch stone weighs 30 ounces and sinks straight down, staying put while it bubbles. It measures 6 by 2 inches and passes 30 L/min, around 476 GPH, so it wants a pump above 20 W on 3/16 or 3/8 inch tubing. Ponds, DWC systems, aquaculture tanks and large aquariums are where it belongs.
Sizes are 2.3, 4 and 6 inches, with the two smaller ones also in 2 packs. Soak it in water for more than three hours before first use, longer than a small stone needs. Leave it out of small tanks: the 6 inch size asks far more air than a nano pump gives, and its footprint takes over the floor of a small aquarium.
