A 7.5-inch tube suits a small tank, and the 23-inch tube runs along the back of a longer one.

Inside the tank rather than above it, the Pawfly Submersible LED Light is a sealed tube of red, green and blue LEDs that lights the water from the floor or the back glass. Eight modes mix the three colors, from a single color to full light and a slow flashing full light. Lengths run 7.5, 11, 15, 19 and 23 inches, and the 7.5-inch tube draws 1.8 W.

Five brightness levels work in the first seven modes, while the slow flash stays at one level. A built-in timer lights the tube for 8, 10 or 12 hours of each 24, then waits for the next cycle. Think of it as an accent light: the description lists colored LEDs only, so it adds color to a tank that already has a main light overhead.
