Warm rooms push the water temperature up, and air moving across the surface carries heat away. The Pawfly Aquarium Cooling Fan clamps to the rim on brackets with two screws, blows through 7 blades and tilts through 180 degrees. Five speeds and a timer for 0.5, 1, 2, 4 or 12 hours let you set how long and how hard it runs. The description puts the drop at 2 to 4 °C.
Buy one fan, two, or four for a long tank. The clamp fits glass less than 0.6 inches thick on a lipless tank, so a rimmed tank or a thick pane is outside its range. Water evaporates faster under a fan, so watch your water line more often and top it up.
