Fish rooms with a central air loop need a tap at every tank, and these thread straight into the pipe. Each valve is chromium copper, 0.95 inch long and 0.86 inch tall, with a ridged outlet for standard 3/16-inch tubing. Set the lever at 90 degrees to the flow path and the valve is closed, then turn it back to open the path as wide as you need.

To fit one, drill a pilot hole with a 13/64 inch bit, chuck the valve in the drill and press down slowly so the thread cuts its own way in. The pack holds 24, enough for a full row of tanks with spares. On a single tank with a short airline, a push-in valve is the simpler choice.
